Alerts

Alerts are a way to notify users of conditions in the act! database via email. 

Alerts can be very useful under these examples:
  1. Notify a user the estimated close data of an opportunity is approaching.

  2. Send a list of all the active opportunities with total values to the management team n a daily basis.

  3. Send a field technician a list of hist activities for today.

To simplify, alert are glorified reports. Yes reports send via email either as an attachment or as the body of the email.
