Sometime when opening in you want a pre-filtered list of contacts. You may want to start up on only contacts in New York City or contact you have not reached out to greater then 90 days. By following the steps below you can create a start-up query/filter which is applied each time you start act!

1. Open act! and go to the contact view.
2. From the LOOKUP menu select ADVANCED-> ADVANCED QUERY
   
3. Build your query/filter conditions then click on the SAVE icon
   Below we build a filter for contact in the city of 'New York'
4. Enter the file name as "Startup.qry" and click the SAVE button
