This document details the exporting of a document to RTF (Rich Text
Format).
When exporting a document, you can define RTF-specific export options using the following dialog.
Export mode
Choose one from the available modes to export a document.
- The Single file mode allows export of a document to a single file, without dividing it into pages.
- The Single file page-by-page mode allows export of a document to a single file, divided into pages. In this mode, the Page range, Page border color and Page border widthoptions are available.
- The Different files mode allows export of a document to multiple files, one for each document page. In this mode, the Page range, Page border color and Page border widthoptions are available.
Page range
Define the pages which will be included in the result. Separate page numbers with commas, set page ranges using hyphens.
Also, using the appropriate check box, you can choose whether the exported document should include watermarks (if they exist).
Note
Note that only the report controls that don't intersect with each
other can be correctly exported to RTF. In other cases, the resulting RTF file
may have a completely broken layout.
To make sure that your report layout will be preserved in your desired format check to ensure there are no exclamation marks shown for intersecting controls (colored in red).
Note
Not all programs that can be used to view and edit RTF files can correctly
process the resulting RTF file produced by XtraReports. For instance, MS
Word® represents these files correctly, while WordPad® does not. Note
that this is not due to any problem in our product - WordPad does not
fully support the RTF standard.
