Deleting manual notes


Question:

Users with standard, restricted or browse only rights in ACT! cannot delete manual Smart Notes. ADMIN users can.

Answer:

The security rights on the manual notes use the ACT! user rights.  Users must have the 'delete' right.




ACT!  2010 with Opportunities

ISSUE: Don't see the Opportunity Tab  in the Smart Notes full designer

Only ACT! 2010 (version 12) supports working with opportunities.  that includes adding a manual note to an opportunity as well as creating rules on an opportunity.





Padding is Invalid and cannot be removed

Cause: This can occur if the system regional settings have been altered since the installation of SNFA

Solution:

  1. Close ACT!
  2. Open the folder “C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Durkin Computing\Durkin.UI.SmartNotes\”
  3. Delete the file named “dcsmt10.drv”
  4. Restart ACT!
