Rebuild Database with ACTDiag

Some issues can be resolved by rebuilding the database. Sage supplies a utility to perform these rebuild functions. These function sometimes will correct issues such as "Permission Denied", "Invalid Table Node" and other SQL errors. To open the ACT Diagnostics tool go to the computer / server which hlds the database. Click on the START button and select RUN. In the run command line type ACTDIAG then hit the ENTER key.


1) When this window appears click on the DATABASE menu and select DATABASE LIST
 


2. A list of all databases in the SQL server will appear. Select your desired database

3. Right click on the database to open the popup menu. From this menu repeat these actions. Each action will take 1-5 minutes to perform based on the amount of records in the database.

  1. Check Database
  2. Repair Database
  3. Reindex Database
  4. Rebuild OLEDB v2.0 Report Objects




5. Click on the FILE menu and selectCLOSE when completed.
